About This Branch
Kiddies Aqua Otjiwarongo is a family-owned business run by daughter Elaine Jansen van Rensburg and mom Cheryl Botha. They opened their first small home-based branch in August 2022, and in February 2023 they opened their new branch in Otjiwarongo — making it the first Kiddies Aqua franchised outlet outside the borders of South Africa. Elaine holds diplomas in Business, Human Resources, Project Management, Personal Training, and Aqua Aerobics. She moved to Namibia with her husband Willem and their two daughters in March 2022. Cheryl is a registered nurse with nearly forty years of experience in nursing and managerial healthcare in mostly industry-leading private hospitals in South Africa. Both Elaine and Cheryl completed 400+ hours of intensive Baby Floating training with Lizette Botha and are fully qualified and licensed instructors in the Self-Rescue Water Safety Programme for Babies. They are also both qualified Learn-to-Swim instructors for toddlers and adults, and are already making a significant difference in the community of Otjiwarongo and its surroundings.
