Making Africa Water Safe

We don't just talk about community impact — we fund it, staff it, and deliver it. Every week. In every season.

Our Core Mission

Water safety and swimming education — accessible for everyone

Kiddies Aqua is not an organisation that talks about community impact. Every initiative below is privately funded and operationally managed by Kiddies Aqua Swimming Academy. Whether highly subsidised or completely free, we are committed to making Africa water safe — that is a promise.

Why this matters: understand the global drowning crisis
Our Programmes

Privately funded. Operationally delivered. Every week.

Hammanskraal

Dominican School for the Deaf

34 deaf pre-school learners (ages 3–5)

Two dedicated instructors travel weekly to provide swimming lessons at no charge. Kiddies Aqua fully funds the initiative — fuel, tolls, equipment, snacks, swim bags and caps. Claesen's Nederland (Netherlands) sponsored swimming costumes. Three teachers and one occupational therapist from the school have been trained in swimming instruction, building lasting local capacity.

Atteridgeville & Mamelodi

ECD Township Partnerships

40+ learners annually

A long-standing Learn-to-Swim programme for Hannah's Prayer Learning Institution (two campuses) and Hope Day & Night Care. Learners are transported free of charge in Kiddies Aqua's own 23-seater luxury bus to our heated indoor facility at the University of Pretoria Sports Campus. We allocate three qualified instructors and co-sponsor annual awards ceremonies.

Atteridgeville

Botshelo Ba Setshaba Peace Education Centre

34 children from the associated orphanage

In partnership with the centre, led by Director Minah Sindane-Bloem, we provide Learn-to-Swim and water-safety programmes to vulnerable children. The initiative combines structured swimming education with care-driven support — a safe, nurturing environment where children develop confidence, life-saving skills and a sense of dignity.

Pretoria

Domestic Workers & Gardeners

Free lessons, CPR & First Aid

A voluntary Learn-to-Swim programme offering free swimming lessons, CPR training and First Aid instruction to domestic workers and gardeners in Pretoria — extending water safety and life-saving skills to the adults who keep our communities running.

Pretoria

Prinshof School for the Partially Sighted & Blind

109 learners

A large-scale Learn-to-Swim initiative serving learners who are partially sighted and blind — proving that water confidence and life-saving skills are for every child, regardless of ability.

Community Expansion

Tshwarelo Pre-School

400+ learners · 4 instructors

One of our largest outreach programmes, reaching over 400 learners through structured Learn-to-Swim sessions. Delivered by four qualified instructors, it ensures safe, high-quality instruction at scale while maintaining individual attention for every young swimmer.

The Road Ahead

Every township. Every rural community. South Africa and Namibia.

We are creating plans, forming partnerships and sourcing funding to reach all townships and rural areas across South Africa and Namibia. Making water safety and swimming education accessible for everyone — highly subsidised or free — is one of our core missions. We will make Africa water safe. That is a promise.
